In John 3:16, the Bible explains how a person can have a relationship with Jesus Christ! The verse says that “For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but will have everlasting life.”

First, we must acknowledge that we are all sinners. The Bible says in Romans 3:23 that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

Second, we must understand that the punishment for sin is death. The Bible says in Romans 6:23 that “the wages of sin is death.”

Third, we must understand that Jesus Christ came down to this earth and gave His life to pay the penalty for our sins. The Bible says in Romans 5:8 that “God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

And finally, we must accept Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior. Jesus loves us so much that He gave His own life so that we could spend eternity with Him in heaven. The Bible says in Ephesians 2: 8-9 that “For by grace you have been saved, through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not a result of works, that no one should boast.”
